So I’ve been trying to get back in shape recently. Like everyone else who takes extended time off from working out, I am finding it damn hard to get a rhythm going. I miss the drive I had back in high school when I would work out and practice sport at least 5 times a week. I like the new Gatorade commercial above because it reminds me of that time in my life where I would really push myself to get better. I got all pumped up and actually went for a run after work one day when I saw it as an ad on youtube. Where did the drive go? Is it melting away at my desk where I spent 50-60 hours a week. Do I lose it on the subway on my hour and a half round trip commute? Whatever happens to it, I can tell you it is drained by the time I get home and it is invisible when I try to wake up at 5 to actually do something about it. I know I’m not a morning person so I can’t really do the before work workout. It was fine when I had to be at work 15 minutes away at 8:30. Now it’s 45 minutes away at 7:30 and that is a whole different ballgame. I’m going to try to get this going after work but we will see what happens.
